It has become common practice for people to use research materials for presentations and enjoy the accolades without crediting those who did the hard work. While delivering speeches or making such presentations, it is the presenter who receives the applause and most times no credit is given to the original author.
However, the Chairman, Integrated Oil and Gas Limited, Captain Emmanuel Iheanacho stood out has he gave credit to the researcher from Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) who made findings and wrote the presentation he made at the recent Natonal Transport Summit organized by the Chartered Institute of Transport Administration (CIoTA) Nigeria. Oh, what an incredible action!
It was even more commendable as Iheanacho had to walk back to the stage to make the tribute shortly after his presentation and he demanded an applause for the NIMASA researcher.
This is indeed a trait worthy of emulation.
