BEARS: Ezeulu in ANLCA, NAGAFF

BEARS: Ezeulu in ANLCA, NAGAFF
Bears Thumbs Down Ezeulu in ANLCA, NAGAFF

It sounded somewhat comical last week, to hear that the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) and the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) extended their 21 days notice of service withdrawal from the ports. This is coming when the Federal Government had pacified them by giving them attention.

The two associations, even at this have refused to seek the buy-in of other three associations. ANLCA and NAGAFF seem to forget that importers can also do self-clearing and that not all freight forwarders or clearing agents belong to associations. Most customs officers and personnel are equally clearing agents, we hope they also know this fact.

When an industrial action is sought for self-glory and show of power the aim of the aggregation becomes defeated.

Please, ANLCA and NAGAFF withdraw your services and test your might like Ezeulu in Chinue Achibe’s “Arrow of God”. Find out what happened to Ezeulu in Umuaro village.
