BULLS: An End To Bribe

BULLS: An End To Bribe

Two weeks ago, the Federal Government mandated the Nigerian Navy and all other military formations to withdraw from traffic management duties in and around the Apapa axis. By this directive, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) was mandated to move into Apapa as the lead traffic management agency.

This is good development which will help save Nigerians the cost of bribing Naval officers and other military officials who through illegal allocation of space to truck drivers on the roads and bridges along the Apapa port rakes in millions monthly.

The government should be commended for mandating the Naval officials to stay away from traffic management duty which has been an avenue for them to extort and make business miserable for port users, especially truck owners.
