When the Minister of Transportation, Hon. Rotimi Amaechi aptly admonished Nigerian women in the maritime sector to seize the opportunity of the World Maritime Day celebration on empowering women to reach out to millions of Nigerian women in dire need of empowerment, he didn’t provide the how. The women were emphasizing the need for inclusion, equal opportunities and merit based system but Amaechi rather urged them to stop begging but grow their capacity; then in the same breath he asks them to empower millions of women.
Oh! Dear Minister, if you don’t empower these women how would they empower others?
