BEARS: What Osinbajo Deserves

BEARS: What Osinbajo Deserves
Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo
No crisis situation in Nigeria has got more lip-service from the state and Federal Government than the appalling state of the nation’s port access roads.    And this has become the norm because the  Nigerian populace only bark, they don’t bite.   The people have become so mentally sapped and pauperized with ethnicism and   religion that development is retarded . Given the number of unfulfilled promises from the both arms of the government on alleviating the suffering of port users and reducing the increasing cost of doing business in the port, the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo would have been pelted with objects or lynched in a sane environment  the last  time he visited the port to ascertain the state of the damage and pains the crumbling port infrastructure in Lagos ports have caused.  One month after his visit, the situation in the port and its environ has grown worse. Yet he flies planes in comfort from location to another feeling fulfilled as the Acting President.  Chukwu Aju kwa !

All the solutions proffered so far for this national shame in the port are long term and yet not concrete and sustainable. Lives are being lost everyday, shippers lose funds everyday, the economy shrinks everyday, yet the leaders play politics with this precarious situation! When indeed can we have a true CHANGE?
