The tragic death of the Manager, Corporate Communications, Air Peace, Mr. Chris Iwarah, after his car was crushed by a BRT bus on Friday last week, is just one of the numerous cases of reckless driving in Lagos State with BRT drivers and drivers of heavy duty vehicles notoriously the biggest culprits in the carnage. It was a black Friday night for maritime journalists, Air Peace and more significantly for his family.
This culture of haste in Lagos and recklessness of drivers continue to confine many to untimely death.
Iwarah was a fine journalist; intelligent, calculated, yet vocal and passionate.
What shall we say, then? Shall we go on with reckless driving in Lagos so that carnage abound?
