Adesanwo’s Books Will Benefit The Nigerian Society - Dosunmu

A former Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr. Ade Dosunmu has stated that the newly launched books by Mr. Sola Adesanwo are huge assets to the Nigerian society.

Dosunmu made this remark while speaking at the launch of two books in Lagos, describing the author, Mr. Sola Adesanwo as a man with “high intellectual energy”

“Sola Adesanwo has been my friend since my time at Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA). I was always looking forward to comparing notes with him during programmes and discussing various issues with him because he is always full of ideas. That relationship has continued until today.”

“When he told me that he had books that he had written I wasn’t surprised because I know his intellectual energy. For people like Sola who have high intellectual energy, you either be a teacher or an author. These books will be beneficial to the Nigerian society,” Dosunmu said.

Adesanwo, a Public Relations officer at NPA unveiled his latest books; “Musings: Rainbow Thoughts of A PR Gem” and “Musings of a Quester” at Elomaz Hotels, Off Bank Anthony Way, Maryland, Lagos recently.

Also speaking at the event, the General Manager of Corporate and Strategic Communications at NPA, Mr. Olaseni Alakija stressed that the books are testament to the fact that diligence and hard work pays.

“There is no short cut to success. The journey may not be easy, but anyone who wants to achieve something worthwhile must be willing to persevere. Adesanwo has shown that if you continue to work on your goals, success is inevitable,” the NPA spokesman said.

While he celebrated Sola Adesanwo on the  successful launch of the books, he encouraged him not to relent in his writing because he has all that is required to reach the peak.

Musings Of A Quester is a collection of poems, an amalgam of experiences recollected from the depth of the author’s quests across several cities of the world and several layers of events and activities.

“These poems basically touch on ideas which revolve around human nature, society, politics, human rights, protests, COVID-19 infections and the general desire for success and victory in life.”

“Some of the poems in this collection have appeared in recent anthologies, while a particular poem also won an online poetry contest coordinated in the United States of America. Quite simply, this book of Poems will tantalize you and open your eyes to the realities around you,” the Adesanwo said.

Speaking with MMS Plus at the event, Adesanwo revealed that some of the materials in the poems are collections from his university days in 1992, urging young writers to always keep their scripts.

Rainbow Thoughts Of a PR Gem is an inspirational book that captures the author’s personal experiences in journalism and public relations.

“In this classic and breezy literature, you will find all you need to know about some of the personalities in the maritime industry, sport and several fields of human endeavour. This book x-rays the timeless past that can help you unlock the flood gates of treasures in every area of life,” the author said.

Sola Adesanwo is a Public Relations Practitioner who has put in more than 25 years into the Public Service in the Port Industry. He is an Author, Essayist and a poet who was educated both in Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
