APFFLON Inaugurates New Executives At Lagos Airport
New executives of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) Chapter of Africa Association of Professional Freight Forwarders and Logistics of Nigeria (APFFLON) at the group’s national secretariat in Lagos, on Thursday

The Africa Association of Professional Freight Forwarders and Logistics of Nigeria (APFFLON) has inaugurated new executives to run the affairs of the association Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) and Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA) chapters for the next three (3) years.
The inauguration was held last week in Lagos where eleven new members were sworn in as the new executives with eight of them at MMIA and three others at MMA chapter.
The inaugurated eight executives at the  MMA chapter are;  Forwarder Olabode Akogun – Chairman, Forwarder Cyril Ogonna – Vice Chairman, Forwarder Azeez Mustapha – Secretary, Forwarder Quadri Olorunfunmi- Ass. Secretary, Forwarder Giwa Rasaq – Public Relations Officer, Forwarder Akasike Ifeanyi – Fin. Secretary, Forwarder Kudi Marley – Treasurer, Forwarder Enesi Ismaila – Welfare and Forwarder Sola Akinbola – Ethics and Discipline.
Meanwhile, the MMIA chapter inaugurated executives are, Forwarder Martin Ibeh – Coordinator, Forwarder Ganiyu Kolawole – Ass. Coordinator and Forwarder Victor Shotayo – Secretary.
The President of APFFLON, Otunba Frank Ogunojemite urged the newly inaugurated executives to support the leadership of the association and work as a team to defend the interest of the association.
His words, “I want to congratulate the new executives and admonish them to serve for the interest of the association. You must be in unity to make sure that all you do should be in the interest of the association. Unity is key and always be there for one another”.
Ogunojemite posited that APFFLON was not established to complicate issues at the ports or join issues with other associations but to contribute to the growth of the freight forwarding business in the nation.
He hinted that another set of executives will be inaugurated in coming weeks to expand activities of the association at the seaports and airports.
“Today we are inaugurating executives for the two chapters at the airports. I want to assure you that in two weeks time APFFLON will inaugurate another set of executives for the Tin Can and Apapa ports”.
Also speaking, the newly inaugurated chairman of MMA, Olabode Akogun thanked the association and everyone who has contributed to the success of the association, charging the new executives to take on responsibility.
“I want to let the newly inaugurated executives know that we are not bossing our followers but actually executive servants who must be ready to serve the interest of the association,” he said.
He stressed that APFFLON has always been an advocate of ease of doing business both at the seaports and airports and assured that the chapter executives would continue to foster a better relationship with other associations and agencies at the ports.
