Amaechi Moves To Reposition CRFFN

… donates new office to the Council

The Minister of Transportation, Rt Hon Rotimi Amaechi has shown willingness of the Transport Ministry to transform the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN) by providing the council a new office at the Ministry’s complex in Marina, Lagos.

This development was conveyed by the Director, General Services of the Ministry, Ekaro CC.

Subsequently, the Registrar of CRFFN, Mr. Mike Jukwe has expressed gratitude to the Minister for the initiative, reaffirming the Council’s readiness to deliver effectiveness on its mandate.

Jukwe noted that the complex was befitting and provides a conducing ambience for work. He stated that the council had taken over the facility and promised enhance staff productivity.

Meanwhile, in another development, Mike Jukwe kicked against the move by the National Assembly to amend some sections of the CRFFN Act in secret.

Jukwe argued that the CRFFN Act cannot be amended without Public Hearing.

According to the Council’s Registrar, the CRFFN Act amendment bill is a private member bill being sponsored by the Chairman, House Committee on Ports, Harbour and Waterways, Hon. Patrick Asadu.

The Council has directed all accredited associations to nominate members to deliberate the headway with CRFFN executives
