BEARS: Amaechi’s Smelling Ministry!

When the National President of ANLCA, Prince Olayiwola Shittu said at the transport leadership lecture in Lagos recently that the Minister of Transport, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi cannot succeed with the crop of inexperienced members of staff of the Federal Ministry of Transport, many people could not appreciate the depth of that statement.

Inside Amaechi’s Ministry letters meant for him often stay for two months on his table without his knowledge.

Amaechi’s aides are tipped to select letters for him to read and minute out.  Important documents meant for the Minister often gets missing. And Amaechi will say, ‘I’m not aware’. Frankly, he is not!

Sometimes, some ministry staff engage Minister’s secretary on verbal war over delayed document and settlement.

Amaechi came with a reform mind set, but how far can he go with this? He has to reform the Ministry and his aides before the industries! Gbammmm!
