There is a disturbing rise in what some observers have described as Osun State factor in the maritime industry. Many stakeholders are lamenting in subdued tones and silence. They said it is a cabal. Should it be described as “Osun State Cabal?”.
According to their lamentations, whatever this cabal approves holds and whatever they reject dies. And many stalled project approvals have been ascribed to this factor. A key driver of the cabal is due for retirement on December 20th, 2025. But he has allegedly boasted that he remains in service from outside. Their inspiration and confidence come from above yet the industry is littered with awaiting project approvals.
