Emirate Airline Connects Abuja To Its Worldwide Network Destination

The management of Emirates Airline operating in Nigeria has said it has connected Abuja, the Nigeria’s capital to its worldwide network destination adding that the Emirates Global Network connection to Abuja is the 26th in Africa and 144th in the world.

According to UAE, the owners of the Airline, the new launched destination will connect Nigeria to the Middle East, Europe, United States and Asia via its hub in Dubai. Emirates Airline claimed that they fly twice daily in Lagos adding that since they commenced operations in Abuja, they have increased to the total of 12,200 seats weekly. It however stated that the main imports into Nigeria are expected to be machinery, chemicals, transport equipments and manufactured goods while export will be food stuff and leader.

It however stated that the additional cargo service on the new service will strengthen the bilateral trade between Nigeria and UAE, the management has said stating that the new Emirates Flight EK785 departs Dubai daily at 1050hrs and arrives in Abuja at I510hrs.

Meanwhile, Arik Airline New York-bound passengers made up of children, elderly men and women numbering over 250 were stranded and at the mercy of God at the Murtala Mohammed International Air port Lagos last week. The Arik Air flight W3 107 that was scheduled to depart the International Air port at 11:20pm on Sunday was still on ground on Monday at the Airport when our correspondent visited the Airport.

Mr, George Eze, one of the stranded passengers described the situation as poor service delivery to customers; alleging the officials of  Airline of criminality by keeping their customers stranded for 12 hours without communicating the cause of the delay to them.

The stranded passenger who said the Airline operators only came the next day to inform them that the cause of the delay was due to non availability of aviation fuel called on the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to sanction the Airline for the negligence and unprofessional treatment of their customers.

MMS Plus Weekly gathered that the first Emirates flight Ek785 landed at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja last week, as a result of marking the operation of the Airline daily service to its second destination route in Nigeria. It however stated that the new daily flight provides a convenient point to point service for customers between Abuja and Dubai.
