BEARS: The Rich Also Cry

It has always been the dream of the an average Nigerian to visit and even own properties at Lekki and Victoria Island of Lagos because of the relative “perfect” life of inhabitants of the area.

However, this desire seems to have suddenly changed when the choicest areas in Lagos got engulfed with flood that held the residents captive for days in their respective houses and this has become the norm whenever it rains heavily.

Obviously, their business activities have been disrupted as they stay helpless indoors with deep fear of the unknown that whoever traverses the area regularly (prior the incident) would hardly believe it was still the same Lekki many people aspire to reside.

The flood was so terrible that no land movement of whatever form was possible to the extent that the state government had to completely shut down activities in the entire axis.

Amazingly, a miracle happened! The entire Lekki zone suddenly became an avenue for water transport as people resulted to use of canoe and speed boats.

Yes, it is true that the rich also cry?
