Saka, Braimah, Muazu, Others Receive Excellence Awards At WiLAT Nigeria Conference

The 14th Annual Conference of Women in Logistics and Transport (WiLAT) Nigeria was held last Thursday, in a remarkable demonstration of the organisation’s commitment to advancing gender equity, diversity and professional excellence in the logistics and transport sector.

The conference, which attracted a strong contingent of young transport and logistics professionals across various modes of transportation, was themed “Driving Results: Time Mastery in Logistics and Transport.”

As expected, the event attracted distinguished personalities from across the transport and logistics industry, including the Executive Director, Finance and Administration, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Mrs. Vivian Richard-Edet; Executive Vice Chairman, ENL Consortium Limited, Olori Vicky Haastrup; former President of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), Alhaji Ibrahim Jubril; and Founder, WiLAT Nigeria, Hajia Aisha Ali Ibrahim, among other industry stakeholders.

The conference also featured the presentation of Awards of Excellence to some outstanding professionals in recognition of their contributions to the development of the transport and logistics sector.

Among the award recipients were Dr. Mrs. Juliana Saka, Assistant Director, Nigerian Shippers’ Council; Ms. Sa’adatu M. Muazu, Deputy Director, Logistics, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC); and Engr. Mrs. Sarat Braimah, Lagos Area Manager, National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA).

The awards underscored WiLAT Nigeria’s continued commitment to recognising and celebrating professionals whose dedication, competence and leadership are contributing to the growth and transformation of the logistics and transport industry.
