The immediate past Secretary-General of the Abuja Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Port State Control for West and Central Africa, Barr. (Mrs.) Mfon Usoro has bagged an award for meritorious service from the Abuja MoU.

While presenting the award at the 11th Port State Control Committee (PSCC) of the Abuja MoU yesterday, the Chairman of the Abuja MoU, Hon. Kwaku Ofori Asiamah described Usoro as an excellent personality who displayed exemplary leadership qualities at the MoU.

Hon. Asiamah thanked Usoro for her contributions, even as he noted that the group would continue to count on her support.

Earlier, the acting Secretary General of the Abuja MoU, Capt. Sunday Umoren noted that despite the paucity of funds at the Abuja MoU, Usoro was able to raise the MoU to an enviable standard and set the right foundation for his administration.
