A soldier attached to 243 Recce Battalion Ibereko, Badagry, LCP Mahmud Sulaiman, committed suicide by shooting himself dead after he accidentally fired a shot and killed a Customs officer, C.N Walter at the Oloko checkpoint, Gbaji on Badagry-Seme expressway.
Sulaiman, who was recently redeployed to the Ibereko Battalion from the Theater of Operation in the North-East, was alleged to have been behaving abnormally and always in a habit of cocking his AK 47 rifle fully loaded with ammunition since assumption of duty in Badagry.
