The Maritime sector alone has four media association which have always pitted themselves in an unwholesome rivalry.
Although these associations boast a healthy dose of shrewd maritime journalists, the rhetoric question- why can’t they shield their differences and form a united body more formidable and beneficial to the members?
The Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi may be new in the industry, but he has noticed the discrepancy which led him to call for a meeting with the heads of each association.
Many associations with over 200 members, yet less than 20 of them deliver the ball always.
Shame! Shame!! Shame!!!
