National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders, (NAGAFF), yesterday launched a training exercise for 180 compliance team officers in the western zone.
The training of the officers was sponsored by the Founder of NAGAFF, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam, who desires to equip the compliance officers on effective ports operations.
The training of the compliance officers would take place between Monday August 17th to Friday, 21st August, 2020 at the new National Secretariat at Eleganza, Apapa, Lagos.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony yesterday, the President of NAGAFF, Chief Increase Uche said, “training has been an area of strength that has sustained NAGAFF. The association started training for more than two decades and I have also been part of the academy”
Uche admonished members of the 100% compliance team to take the training seriously, adding that the training will help upgrade members mode of operations at the ports.
The President also appealed to members selected to make themselves available for the training and stressed that there will be no representation by proxy.
He warned members of NAGAFF not portray themselves as members of any government agency or impersonate at the ports during their operations.
The NAGAFF President also pointed out that other associations have been wanting to partake in such trainings and NAGAFF is willing to recieve them openly.
“I want to bring to your notice that other sister associations have been calling to integrate with us. This is because they are all coming to the realization of the fact that we are fulfilling the purpose for which NAGAFF was established. We will receive them with open arms when they are ready”, he added.
