INDECISIVE NAGAFF
The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) has relented on its much publicized efforts to investigate and expose the alleged corrupt practices of senior customs officers in the Tin Can Island Ports (TCIP) of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) especially the Deputy Controller (DC) Aliu Saidu. When NAGAFF drew the battle line we jeered the fearless approach and anxiously awaited the outcome but NAGAFF suddenly terminated the investigations after a closed door meeting with the Controller of the Command, Jubril Zakari. We wonder why NAGAFF baulked on its investigation. What actually transpired during that closed door meeting? Has NAGAFF been bribed? Did NAGAFF start a battle it wasn’t prepared to fight to finish? Or has the fearless NAGAFF quickly become a fearful one?
