Despite the popular trend of indiscipline displayed by the security officers at the Nigerian Port Authority (NPA), there is a rare personality called Mr. Jerry Bello.
Jerry has distinguished himself with high level of professionalism, yet he is jovial, accommodating and always willing to direct visitors accordingly. At such a time when the Civil Service norm has become ‘what’s in it for me?’, Jerry is indeed a security officer with a difference and one that deserves commendation from the management of the Authority.
Contrary to the practice of pestering visitors for money; Jerry would rather wear a smile as he goes about his duties effectively. He should be a role model to other officers at the Authority! Such refined service shouldn’t go unnoticed, he deserves to be commended.
