BEARS: Makeshift Traders
Bears Thumbs Down Wares On Tincan-Island Ports access roads

Traders on the Tincan-Island Ports access roads have been warned incessantly of the dangers in spreading their wares close to the fast moving cars and motorcycles on the road. But do they listen?

The Environmental Sanitation Department of the Lagos State Civil Service has taken out time to sensitise them on the dangers, warning them of the penalties to defaulters.

Still these traders spread their goods so close to the road that pedestrians can hardly see the sidewalk, carrying on with reckless abandon.

Last week when the government visited them breaking down their makeshift sheds, they cry foul.
Serves them right!
