Images of malnourished looking lions recently went viral on the internet.
The photos were reportedly taken at the zoo in Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) and Univeristy of Ibadan (UI) and the lions were looking skinny, bony and could barely walk.
Following the release of such pictures, people wonder if the poverty in Nigeria does not just affect humans but has escalated to animals and plants.
