One of the police escort riders on the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo’s convoy, Inspector Ali Gomina died in the accident on duty as he escorted Osinbajo to Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on Friday, last week.
The escort rider aged of 45, was described by the Vice President as “a diligent, hardworking and serious-minded officer who will be greatly missed by the team, as well as his wife, children and relatives.”
Saddened by this occurrence, Osinbajo aborted the scheduled trip.
