Pastor Charles Edike, a former Assistant Comptroller-General of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) was such an ardent believer and advocate of the significance of trade facilitation during his years as an officer that the Executive Secretary of Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) Mr. Hassan Bello wondered if Edike hadn’t introduced ‘trade facilitation’ as a sermon in his church.
Not many Customs officers are remembered after their service and very few can be remembered for meritorious service like the Esteemed, Charles Edike who was a special guest at the 20th Anniversary Lecture/ Awards Patron’s Investiture Ceremony organized by the League of Maritime Editors and Publishers (LOMEP) last week.
