Shippers’ Council Appoints New Directors

In a bid to steer the organization towards attaining its core objectives, the Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) has created nine new Directorates to enable the Council effectively carry out its obligations to stakeholders across the country.

This development will also help attain its stipulated objectives as the Ports Economic Regulator and as the agency for the facilitation of trade and promotion of Ease of Doing Business in Nigeria.

The six geo – economic zones of the country are now headed by newly promoted Directors. The newly appointed directors are Hajia Othman Karimatu (North West), Mrs. A.I Okolue(North Central) and Alh. A.S Bashir(North East). Others are Rev. M.A Winner in the South East Zone, Mr. Glory Onojedo in the South- West Zone and South-South Zone is Mr.  T.O Jaiyeola.

The following personnel were appointed to head the following Departments: Human Resources, Mr. O.A. Kosoko, Office of the ES/CEO, Mrs. A.V. Okam, Special Duties, Alh. T.H. Idris, Finance and Account, Mr. D.B. Bonat, Consumer Affairs, Mr. C.C. Agu, and General Services, Mr. S.B. Owoniyi.

This development was revealed in a press release issued by the Council’s Public Relations unit, last week.
