OPEC Members Request’ Emergency Meeting - Ibe KachikwuNigeria’s oil minister said on Tuesday that a “couple” of members of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) have requested an emergency meeting, adding current market conditions create the need to hold such a gathering.

Minister of State for Petroleum Resources Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu told reporters at an energy conference in Abu Dhabi that the objective of an emergency meeting would be to review OPEC’s policy to see if there was any need to change strategy.

He declined to name the countries which have requested the emergency meeting.
