Eight women of substance including the late Prof. Dora Akunyili will be inducted into the MMS Plus Women of Fortune Hall of Fame billed for Tuesday September, 23rd, 2014 at NAN Media centre, Lagos.

The Chief Executive Officer of Kings Communications Ltd, Mr. Kingsley Anaroke, said the MMS Plus’ Hall of Fame is not just an award but a commission that goes beyond an award. “As a woman in a position of authority in a given profession or field of discipline, we intend to use that pedestal to build capacity for the industry because as the older ones are aging, the younger ones should be coming up”, he said.

Explaining further the significance of the MMS Plus’ Hall of Fame Induction, he said, “the best way to build capacity is through mentorship and that is what the MMS Hall of Fame  is all about. When you match a younger person with an older and experienced person, he/she begins to learn from the older one- he learns the temperament, the skill and some other things that he ordinarily cannot learn from the classroom and he uses all these to improve on himself.”
