Jime Commends NSC Cooperative Society For Transparency

The Executive Secretary of Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC), Mr. Emmanuel Jime has engaged the leadership of the Council’s Staff Multi-purpose Cooperative Society in a bid to prioritize worker’s welfare.
Jime, held talks with the Bashir-Ambi led Cooperative Society yesterday, expressing delight at the administration and transparency of the group.
The President of the Cooperative, Mr. Bashir Ambi led executives to visit and briefed the Chief Executive on the achievements of the Cooperative since 2017 when they came on board.
The President thanked the Chief Executive for the privilege despite his busy schedule, and assured the new NSC boss of the Cooperative’s unreserved loyalty to the Management..
Mr Ambi, however, informed the Chief Executive Officer that the Shippers’ Council Cooperative is financially stable and fully automated as members can log in, apply and loans will be approved to eligible only, within 24hours.
Ambi, stated that we are here to familiarize ourselves with the ES/CEO and to humbly request for harmonious working relationship with the management
“I am glad to inform the NSC management under your leadership that the NSC Cooperative was a reciepient of a prestigious award by the *Lagos State Government.”
“Sir, we have over 2-Million Cooperative Societies in Lagos State and for the State to recognize our Cooperative, it a great honour not only to the members but to Shippers’ Council. This is because it is the first time since 1987, such type of honour is extended to the Council. I believe we can not achieve this without the support from the Council which we want the continuation of the guidance and assistance. We promise not to fail the investors and the Council,” Ambi said.
In his response, the Executive Secretary of the Council, Hon. Emmanuel Jime appreciated and congratulated the President and his Executives for the award.
“This is an attestation of quality of services you have been rendering to your members, which I will join,” he said.
The Chief Executive further stated that “staff welfare is central to the management, and we want to work in partnership with the Cooperative, so that we can bring succour to members of staff.
He assured that the Cooperative Society would have his support, saying “I offer you my partnership”.
