Firms collaborate to expand toy production across Africa

Auldon Toys has signed a memorandum of understanding with Polesie, one of Europe’s biggest toy manufacturer, for a retail deal and local assembling of high-quality toys that meet international safety standard within Nigeria.

The partnership, which was sealed with Nigerian-based Auldon Toys in Kobrin, Belarus, will see Polesie JV Limited introduce their toys into the Nigerian market with Auldon as country agent.

The collaboration will also witness the launch of an ultramodern assembly plant that will eventually metamorphose into a full production plant in Nigeria to service other regional markets within Africa, a move seen as mutually beneficial to all.The Commercial Director of Polesie, Vladimir Kivaka, said: “We are happy to be partnering Auldon Toys, a Nigerian wholly indigenous company that has over the years shown strong commitment to providing high quality toys to the Nigerian children.

“These core values of Auldon Toys fit ours and that is why everyone at Polesie are thrilled at this new venture”. The Chief Executive Officer of Auldon Toys, Paul Orajiaka, was equally pleased with the partnership as he acknowledged the strength and expertise of Polesie, stating that a partnership with the major European toy manufacturer will provide quality toys, skill acquisition and most importantly, expand Nigeria’s manufacturing sector.

“Despite the unrivaled quality and attention to detail that go into producing Polesie toys, they are affordable when compared to the Chinese products that flood the Nigerian market. “With this positive development coming, I am more than pleased that Polesie has agreed to a further phase of local assembling and then manufacturing partnership with Auldon Toys,” he said.
