CIOTA Takes Transport Professionalism Campaign To UNILAG, Railway Police

The Registrar of the Chartered Institute of Transport Administration (CIoTA) Nigeria, Mr. Rasheed Aiyelabegan has paid a working visit to the Center for Intermodal Transport of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) to interact with its Director and Post Graduate students.
At the meeting, the Registrar advocated for the enrollment of over 250 members of staff and students into the institute.
In their separate responses, the Director of the Center, Professor lyiola Oni and the students’ representatives assured the Registrar of their readiness to partner with the Institute.
They promised to ensure that all their students, about 250, enrol in various membership levels of the Institute. The enrollment process, which has commenced immediately, will be rounded up with induction training, campus sensitization, and the presentation of a certificate in April 2022 in line with the institute program calendar.
The meeting was also attended by one of the staff of the Center, Dr Emmanuel Ejeh and some PG students, but the highlight of the visit was the presentation of the year 2022 CIoTA program calendar to the University.
Also recently, as part of CIoTA advocacy and public awareness campaign, CIOTA’s Registrar visited the Honorable Commissioner of Police Railway Command, Ebute Meta, Ms Yetunde Longe, for a membership drive and to request for working relationship between CIOTA and the Transport Department of the NPF.
The Police boss stated that she is unaware of the Institute and its various activities and she obliged CIoTA’s request, to invite the Registrar to address the officers and men of the NPF at its General Staff Meeting scheduled for Thursday, last week.
