CILT Lagos Re-elects Bashir As Chairman

Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT Nigeria) Lagos State Branch has conducted elections into various offices, even as Mr Bashir Mohammed Ambi has been re-elected into the exalted office of the Chairman.

Swearing in the new executive officers, the Chairperson of the Electoral Committee, Mrs Juliana Saka, FCILT urged them to discharge their functions with utmost commitment.

The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Nigeria Lagos state branch. Under the leadership of barrister Mrs Mfon Ekong Usoro, who serves as the president and chairman of CILT Nigeria, the election was conducted on November 11th, 2023. The process was supervised by Mrs Juliana Saka Fcilt, Abubakar Salisu, and other members of the electoral committee.

The election for eight positions was conducted in a free and fair democratic manner, and the winners were declared by the electoral committee chairperson.

Following this, the newly elected officers took an oath of allegiance as provided by the CILT Constitution and were inaugurated.

The chairperson of the electoral committee congratulated the newly elected executive officers of the CILT Nigeria Lagos state branch and wish them a successful tenure.

Although the President and Chairman of CILT Nigeria could not be present, notable council officers represented them.

In the acceptance speech of the re-elected chairman, Bashir Mohammed Ambi expressed his commitment to bringing enduring innovation to the institute.

He also encouraged his professional colleagues to work diligently and join hands to make the branch a pace setter in CILT Nigeria.

He thanked members for the trust bestowed on his team and promised on behalf of the new Exco not to fail but to add value to the Institute.

Bashir also thanked the leadership of the CILT Nigeria for helping the branch in all ramifications.

He however expressed happiness over the attendance recorded during the elections  and commended the Electoral Committee for the good job.

He further requested that members should not hesitate to correct them whenever they are not doing the needful, because according to him “We are human, and we are not perfect, nor the best amongst the members”
