The Comptroller General of Customs, Col. Hammed Ali (rtd.) last week, declined to appear before the Senate donning Customs uniform, thereby eliciting the anger of the senators who had directed the reversal of the customs duty verification of vehicles.Ali has severally argued that his uniform is not performance. Yes, his gut is astonishing and stimulating.
But we need such gut to rebuild the Customs service and the nation.
