BULLS: Well-Bred Customs Officers
At a point when decency seems to have deserted public service in Nigeria. MMS Plus observed a crop of refined Customs officers who apologized to an agent after he received an unpleasant treatment from one of their colleagues.
This event occurred at the Tin-Can Customs Command last week when an agent had been tongue lashed by the orderly to the Customs Area Controller (CAC) of the Command. The orderly has allegedly told the agent that he wasn’t working for him (the agent) and as such wouldn’t even listen to the agent to know why he sought audience with the CAC Bashar Yusuf. After listening to the narrative of the ordeal by the agent, three officers; Nwachukwu A, Fagbohun. J and Seidu Y., apologized on behalf of the rude CAC orderly who had told an Agent that he wouldn’t listen to him as he (the orderly) wasn’t working under him.
At such a time where disrespect has become a norm when you’re an officer in Nigeria, these three officers deserve commendation.
