Baba Haruna Jauro is now the new Acting Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency(NIMASA).
Haruna, who until his appointment was the most senior officer of the agency as the Executive Director Finance and Administration in the agency, he brings on board more than two decades of experience in the public sector and in the maritime industry.
Considering the yearnings of indigenous participators in the industry for a technocrat who truly understands the challenges of the industry, Haruna perhaps is the best candidate for the job because administration and safety in maritime under this new leader ship is expected to navigate the industry to its promised land.
