As the world marked the International Day of Seafarers on Thursday, the emphasis was on the welfare of seafarers as many have been stranded in several nations following the COVID-19 pandemic. Few organizations considered the peculiar challenges facing female seafarers, but Depasa Marine International (Nigeria) is one of the few. It has set a one year goal to increase the female seafarers in the company from 20% to 30% in the next one year.
