As Nigeria celebrates 56 years since independence, it’s an ideal time to reflect on the nation’s modest achievements. The nation is going through one of the worse economic recessions in its history and the value of the naira has plummeted to N480 to a dollar as at press time; many would be inclined to express just how bad things are. While some may attribute this to the failure of the previous administration, others believe this is as a result of the shortcomings of the current leadership. Both parties may be correct in a way but the problem remains.
Only few nations have gone through want Nigeria has faced without splitting up. Nigeria is a nation blessed with human and natural resources.
