BEARS: Press Phobia

If you think there aren’t people who possess strong phobia for pressmen, then you should ask Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) to replay the video of the Managing Director of CMA CGM Nigeria, Mr. Todd Rives where he almost somersaulted because he met journalists in his conference room when Shippers’ Council management paid him a working visit last week.

The only words Mr. Rives could mutter as he walked into the conference room were “No Press” “No Press” and he walked out of the boardroom speedily. He walked out without courtesy to say good afternoon or exchange pleasantries with his guest, the Executive Secretary of the Council.

MMS Plus later gathered that it wasn’t just press phobia that forced the CMA CGM boss to flee from the gathering of journalists but the fact that his company has been in the frontline of many atrocities in the Nigerian port system.
