BEARS: Nigerians Are Poor People!
A recent data released by the National Bureau of Statistics conveyed that 133 million which is 63 percent of her total population are stricken with poverty. The data explained that this population percentage is suffering from multidimensional poverty with children constituting more than half of poor people in the country. As of mid 2022 , Nigerian population was estimated at 220 million people, that is to say more than half of the country’s population lives in abject poverty. This is a precarious situation that if not reversed , Nigerians may decamp from her status – a developing nation to a poor nation.
