Ali-Ibrahim, Tumaka, Lawson Get CILT Mentorship and Fellowship Awards

In recognition of excellence,commitment and contribution to the Nigerian Transport and logistics sector, the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) at the recently concluded national conference in Lagos honoured Hajia Aisha Ali-Ibrahim, with an award as the Best Next Generation Mentor and conferred Fellowship on Hajia Lami Tumaka, Iyalode Alaba Lawson, alongside other notable dignitaries.

The duo of Hajias: Ali-Ibrahim and Tumaka are Hall of Famers of MMS Woman of Fortune.

Also, Abba Kyari was given award as the Best Mantee for CILT Next Generation while other eight eminent personalities were decorated as Fellows of the institute. They are: Managing Director of National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Dr George Moghalu; Chairman of Port Consultative Council (NPCC),Otunba Kunle Folarin; Commodore Emmanuel Duja Effedua; Emmanuel Onwordi Oforkanji; Barrister, Sam Nwakohu; Captain Ibrahim and Alaga Abudulwaheed Ajibola.

Currently, CILT Nigeria is headed by another MMS Hall of Famer; Barrister Mfon Usoro as National President and Chief Teete Owusu-Nortey as International, President-Elect.

CILT was founded in the United Kingdom in 1919 but CILT Nigeria was established in 1958 and has expanded across 13 states of the federation.
