MAN To Explore AfCFTA Opportunities At 47th AGM This Week

As the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) holds its 47th Annual General Meeting this week, the main subject for discourse will be the opportunities as well as the threats in the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA).

The event which holds at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos State, begins on Monday, September 2nd to Wednesday, September 4th, 2019.

The annual event is tipped to attract huge personalities, resource persons, public and private individuals as well as business experts in Nigeria, across the African continent and beyond.

Already, the National President of MAN, Engr. Mansur Ahmed is seeking the clarification of the Federal Government of Nigeria on the recent pronouncement by President Mohammadu Buhari that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) should not grant forex to food importers.

According to him, there are raw materials which manufacturers imports to produce finished food products in Nigeria, which the new order have not really specified.

This year, MAN’s AGM is expected to discuss burning issues affecting manufacturing in Nigeria.
