BULLS: Who’s The Debtor?
Recently Aviation Unions and Bi-Courteny Aviation Services Ltd, managers of the MMA2 Terminal have been at loggerheads over the issue of who owes what in the aviation industry. According to the aviation unions, BASL owes the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) N2 billion, while BASL insist that it owes FAAN nothing alleging that it is FAAN that owes it N200billion.
These alleged debts are the results of a concession agreement that has gone bad.
While the industry stakeholders and indeed Nigerians are interested in knowing the truth, curiously FAAN has remained mute over the issue as it has failed to comment at least to put the records straight. The pertinent questions now are who owes who and how much is involved. Your guess is as good as mine. Would you rather be FAAN or Bi-Courtney in this case? Would you rather be owed N2billion or N200billion?
