MMS Plus Publisher Honoured As 2016 Creative Maritime Journalist
The Publisher of MMS Plus Weekly newspaper, Mr. Kingsley Anaroke has been nominated in the Nigerian Journalists for Change (NJC) National Merit Awards as the “Creative Maritime Journalist of the Year 2016”.
The award is in recognition of Mr. Kingsley Anaroke’s creative, innovative and excellent approach to reporting and publishing news stories about the maritime industry in 2016.
Other nominees from different categories of the award include: Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, Senator (Dr.) Chris Ngige, General Tukur Buratai, Hadiza Bala-Usman, Senator Godswill Akpabio, Alhaji Lai Muhammed, Comptroller Victor Dimka, Senator Adamu Aliero, Barr. Festus Keyamo, AC Abubakar Adamu, among others.
According to the organizers, the NJC National Merit Award is exclusively meant for deserving notable Nigerians who have distinguished themselves in their different national assignments in the previous year.
The event would hold on Thursday, March 16th, 2017 at the Rockview Hotel, Abuja by 11am. The programme also includes a public presentation of two academic books “Strategic Marketing And Customer Relations” and “Strategic Media Relations And Reputation Management” written by one of the NJC members and publisher of Tentacle magazine, Chief Innocent Chukwu.
NJC is a non-governmental and non-profit making organization made up of investigative journalists who have been in practice for over a decade. The group was formed with the aim of projecting good governance in Nigeria, including the present administration’s change mantra.
