Dr. Idiat Oluranti Adebule is the Lagos State Deputy Governor. She began her working career as a lecturer at Lagos State College of Primary Education (LACOPED), Noforija, Epe in the department of Religious Studies and later the Lagos State University. Her political sojourn began when she was appointed as a commissioner 1 in the Lagos State Post Primary Teaching Service Commission (PP-TESCOM), now Teachers’ Establishment and Pensions Office, by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu 2000 – 2005 and later as board member of the Lagos State Scholarship Board from February 2005 to November 2005.
Dr. Adebule was appointed by former Governor, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN) in July, 2011 as the Secretary to the Lagos State Government and elected as the Deputy Governor of Lagos State in 2015. She is a consummate writer, wife, mother, mentor and an advocate of women and child right. She is also a believer in the development of future leaders.
