NPA Celebrates Excellence As Staff Wins Scholarship
The International Association of Ports and Harbours (IAPH) women forum has awarded an officer of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Mrs. Ngozi Obikili, AGM/Head of the Occupational Health unit with a scholarship for the attendance to the forthcoming conference which comes up between the 8th and 11th May, 2018 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The award would facilitate the laurel winner to attend the forum and present an official paper to the Association.
In an official statement announcing the award to NPA, Siti Noraishah Azizan, Chairperson of the conference stated that several persons from various Organizations had contested keenly for the coveted recognition and honour.
Reacting to this development, the Managing Director of the NPA, Hadiza Bala-Usman said “this is great news and am very excited”.
Shethen stated that the NPA would continue to prioritize concerns on capacity building and the enthronement of efficiency in the workforce.
She also added that the level of professionalism in the organization is high, stressing that this forum is part of the basic avenue that would be utilized in turning the NPA intoa role model.
Shethen said that everyone in the Organization has a role to play in promoting best practices and diligent quality services.
“Anything less than these world class services are simply not acceptable” “we on our part shall provide the leadership to attain best practices status”, she added.
