The Director General, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency  (NIMASA), Dr. Dakuku Peterside has endorsed the Nigeria Ship Finance Conference and Exhibition (NISFCOE) as a credible initiative set to positively influence the shipping industry.

Peterside made this remark on Friday when organizers of the annual event visited him in his office in Lagos.

Addressing the team, Peterside who commended the efforts of the organization in enlightening stakeholders on available ship finance/ funding opportunities described the initiative as credible and worthy of being sustained.

The Director General said that the overwhelming industry support and acceptance the event received showed how necessary it is in the maritime sector, hence, he promised to support, strengthen and sustain the event as demanded by stakeholders.

Earlier, the team thanked the Director General for supporting the project and handed him a copy of the communique from NISFCOE 2016.

Nigeria Ship Finance Conference & Exhibition (NISFCOE) is an annual Ship Finance Conference organized by Captain Buoy Consulting Ltd in conjunction with Hannan Media Ltd.

NISFCOE debuted in October 2016 and aims at enlightening maritime stakeholders in Nigeria of available finance/ funding opportunities, identifying sources of finance, accessing and managing the finance.
