NAGAFF To Celebrate 20th Anniversary

KLT NAGAFF & NoisemakingThe National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) is set to celebrate its 20th anniversary with a 5-day event to commemorate the occasion.

The Chairman, NAGAFF @20 Organising Committee, Chief Tochukwu Ezisi disclosed this in a press briefing stressing that the association has made several achievements over the years.

According to him, the celebration would be different this year as a result several activities lined up to impact lives positively.

“Beginning from Friday, 29th November, 2019, there will be a Jumat prayer at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, MMIA, Central mosque to offer thanksgiving for the journey so far. On Saturday, NAGAFF members will carry out environmental sanitation exercise at MMIA and Apapa port. There will also be a matriculation ceremony for new students of NAGAFF Academy on that same day”.

“On Sunday, 1st December, 2019, there will be a Church Thanksgiving Service at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Aguda, Surulere. On Monday, we will pay a visit to General Hospital, Apapa to settle outstanding bills of some patients having difficulty in settling their bills”.

Ezisi noted that the event will be closed with an anniversary lecture to be delivered by the Chairman, Institute of Maritime Studies, University of Lagos, Prof. Iyiola Oni at Golden Tulip Hotel.

The former National President of NAGAFF, Mr. Eugene Nweke also noted the celebration is also to review several achievements the association has made in the past and also plan for the future.

“At 20, NAGAFF following the trend in the maritime environment has positioned itself, thinking beyond where we are coming from to where we will be going in another 20 years from now. You will all agree with me that NAGAFF at 20 is a milestone. We want to extend our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to outsiders. Before now, we conduct CSR with focus on NAGAFF members who have died and we extend support to their family members. Our CSR should be felt not just within but also outside.”
