NAGAFF Cautions ANLCA; Says Statement Is Indecorous
The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) has cautioned the Association of Nigerian Customs Licensed Agents (ANLCA) on a statement termed “unguarded utterance of NAGAFF” in its communiqué after ANLCA’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in Port Harcourt.
This was contained in a press release made available to MMS Plus by Mr. Stanley Ezenga, NAGAFF’s National Publicity Officer.
The statement read: “We use this opportunity nevertheless to advise ANLCA members to be circumspect in their utterances with respect and decorum”.
While congratulating the union for a successful meeting, NAGAFF described the content of its communiqué as laughable and preposterous because the associations are two legally backed distinct and separate bodies with quite different and mutually exclusive modus operandi administrative structures which do not and should not be seen to dictate to the each other on what they should do or say.
“One of the items of the communiqué which said that though they are not expressly opposed to the ANLCA/NAGAFF Initiative (ANI) but that they were not comfortable with the “unguarded utterances” of NAGAFF is to us laughable and preposterous.
“If and when there is a need to collaborate they should do this with due consideration to the corporate identity of each of the Associations. We can only pray that members of ANLCA should take advantage of the goodwill of their President to build a great association of their dream” it read.
