The Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR has sealed the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporations, NNPC mega station. Awka , over the sales of adulterated fuel. Media gathered that officials of DPR stormed the mega station on a tip off, after subjecting the fuel being sold to motorists to test found that it was heavily adulterated. A source who witnessed the selling of the station told media that, “I was there to buy fuel when the officials arrived.
After testing the fuel, they decided to seal it the station, and we were told that the fuel we were scrambling to buy was adulterated and capable of causing damage to vehicles. A motorist who gave his name as Mr Chikwendu Unah while interacting with our correspondent confirmed that after buying fuel from the mega station on Friday, he discovered that his car engine started jerking and shortly after, it parked up. “It was a stroke of luck that I was already close to my house at Udoka estate before the car finally parked up. I am waiting for my mechanic to come and pick it up for repairs.”
