The leadership of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has expressed condolences following the demise of the Olu of Kobape, Ogun State, Olufemi Taylor who retired as an Assistant Comptroller General of Customs.
Ogun 1 Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Dera Nnadi conveyed the commiserations of the Comptroller-General of Customs, Col. Hammed Ali (Rtd) and the Zonal Coordinator Zone A, ACG Modupe Aremu during a condolence visit to Taylor’s family, yesterday.
ACG Taylor had served as the OC RoRo Gate at Tincan Island Port Command, the Customs Area Controller of Apapa Area 1 Command and rose to become the ACG Tariff & Trade at Customs Headquarters before his retirement.
Upon his retirement, he was coronated the Olu of Kobape in Ogun State.
His visit to his ancestors was formally announced by the erstwhile Governor of Ogun State, Chief Segun Osoba with the approval of the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland HRM Oba Dr. Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo III CFR.
Recall that the Olu of Kobape had joined Comptroller Dera Nnadi on a courtesy visit to the Palace of Alake as Nnadi preached better understanding of the Nigeria Customs Service by Ogun residents.
“On behalf of the Comptroller General of Customs, Col. Ibrahim Hameed Ali Rtd, the Zonal Coordinator Zone “A” ACG Modupe Aremu and the officers and men of Nigeria Customs Service Ogun 1 Command we express our heartfelt condolence to the family.”
“My family and I share the grief of this moment with the people of Ogun State and Kobape on this irreparable loss,” Comptroller Nnadi said.
