Cross Border Crime: Seme Customs Arrests Four Armed Robbers
Four armed robbers have been arrested by officers of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) from the Seme Border Command as Customs intensifies efforts to reduce cross border crimes within the Seme Border area.
The Customs Area Controller (CAC), Comptroller Mohammed Uba revealed that his officers nabbed four armed robbers on Wednesday, this week along the Bagji bridge of the Badagry Lagos-Abiji corridor.
In what can be described as an anti-smuggling vendetta, the Uba-led Management are not going after smugglers alone, but fully out against border robbers, even as they sensitize the border communities on the need to jettison smuggling and other criminal activities.
While displaying the gang of four arrested robbers, the CAC commended his men even as he asassured Nigerians that his officers would not relent in their fight against crime.
According to the CAC, the suspects have been handed over to Federal Anti-robbery Squad of the Inspectors General of Police, IGP at Police Headquarters, Abuja.
However, he has urged the general public, especially teeming youths to desist from all manner of illicit activities.
The suspects are Mr. Ibrahim Fasasi (male 25 years), Alex Bright (male-27 years), Godwin Sunday (male-27 years), and Abiodun Sodiq (male-21years).
